Ok so it isn't really a post about a knife but a really explicit "dance craze" sweeping some parts of The Caribbean.
Daggering, also known as "Cabin Stabbing" is the term used for a sexually charged dance popular with some music video stars (must confess it's been about 14 years since I saw a music video!) and night clubs in Jamaica and other parts of the West Indies.
I read an article about it the other day. Reporting a massive increase in injuries such a "broken penis" not sure how you break something that isn't a bone but whatever it is it sounds painful.

Daggering is causing so many problems in Jamaica that Jamaica’s Broadcasting Commission has passed a law banning all public broadcasting of anything to do with daggering.
“There shall not be transmitted through radio or television or cable services, any recording, live song or music video which promotes the act of ‘daggering’, or which makes reference to, or is otherwise suggestive of ‘daggering’.”
I read a Jamaican article about it here, there are concerns that this ban is inhibiting the right to free speech. Those against the ban on daggering say that this law will only lead "daggering" underground thereby further enabling the Jamaican underground economy.

Obviously being the prude that I am, I am never ever going to get down and dagger but I must say censorship is not something I'm really into. I'm all for mums and dads censoring left right and centre to protect their children but public censorship worries me.
What are your thoughts on such flagrant censorship?
