Went to market!
My daughter is obsessed with the "wee wee" story. She asks us about 10 times a day for "wee wee" and she thrusts her feet in our faces. She loves it when we tell her the Little Piggy story on her toes and her favourite bit is the littlest piggy who "goes wee wee wee all the way home."
Today, however, this little piggy is off to market. Mathilda's Market http://www.mathildasmarket.com.au/ that is, to see a room full of clever crafty types selling their gorgeous wares. Most importantly we are going to visit our dear friend Wynona, creator of Ivy Designs http://www.ivydesigns.com.au/.
One of the cleverest, lovely people I know. With our hectic lives we haven't been able to get together for a playdate recently so under the guise of visiting Winnie, I am off to the market. I have promised my husband I will not be buying anything today... Let's see how I go.
I had to stop myself from going as I would want to buy something
ReplyDeleteCarolyn! You really make me laugh! What a surprise finding this post. Thank you so much for visiting with your lovely mum. Ivy loves her present from Miss T and hopes to see her very soon. Really tired now... xox Wynona
ReplyDeletePs. Do you have some tips about flying with baby? We are off to Port Douglas next month
How did you go with not spending money? *wiggly eyebrows*
ReplyDeleteKahlee I didn't buy a single thing, I didn't even pay for my coffee. Thanks Mum.
ReplyDeleteWinnie I think on a flight to QLD your best bet is a few brand new toys she hasn't seen before the flight and some fun snacks like sultanas and little crackers shaped like fish- fiddly things to take her attention off the flight.
It's the long flights that cause me most concern. Placid, sedate babies that sleep easily and don't mind sitting on your lap for ages are fine with some toys and books but it is the extremely alert hyper types that probably need extra help getting to sleep.
After my poor little miss cried all the way to Bangkok and worked herself into such a terrible state there is no way I'd do it again without some sort of calming medication from the paed. It was too distressing to see her so upset for such a long time.
*bows down* Love your work, Carolyn!
