Something new from The Tinker?

Let me know what you think of my latest idea, ok?

I have noticed that so many blogs feature a weekly or a daily outfit post.
Since I'm sitting here in a pair of aqua velour trackpants and an orange cashmere cardi with a hole in the sleeve you can be sure I won't be posting pictures of my outfits.
However I thought it might be fun to show you the little outfits my Tinker wears since she is so amazingly cute and I just love love love kids clothing. What do you think? Boring? Lame? Tell me your thoughts.

Often when I post pictures of her I get a few emails asking where I found her top or her dress etc so I thought this might be a fun segment. She was quite a good little model this morning gladly covering her face a la Michael Jackson kid fashion. You know I don't want her face pimped on my blog so you won't be seeing that, but her outfits are too cute not to share. So let me know if you think this is a fun idea or not.

Here is today's trial post:

Tinker is wearing a Yo Gabba Gabba long sleeved t-shirt from Myer, some Crazy8 straight leg jeans, a knit vest from Purebaby and her pink moccasins with brown bows are from Janie & Jack. The pink beret with little brown scotty-dog is from Gymboree. Cuteness- all her.

  1. I adore the vest, and her holdling her hands up to her face is adorable, even though you do not want to pimp her face out she's adorable.

  5. She loves that top! My mum bought it for her and it is her favourite, she loves Muno. The shoes, hat, jeans and vest were my idea but got the nod of approval from the boss herself. x

  6. She is adorable... I have only been reading your blog for about a month so I am not really up to date...Is Tinker her "real" name?

  7. Ha ha no her name isn't Tinker that is just a little nickname for her. We want to protect her privacy so I won't show her face or her name on my blog. Sounds a bit weird I know, I just think it is wrong to 'pimp' my baby for the good of my blog when she isn't old enough to consent to her face being plastered all over cyberspace.

  10. I think it's a great idea, mainly because I once contemplated doing it myself...but at the time we were going through a jeans-every-day phase so it didn't seem worth the hassle! (From a mama who has no problem plastering her child's face all over cyberspace and beyond!)

  14. I didn't know you could buy Yo Gabba Gabba clothes, although I shouldn't be surprised! I have always loved the "My Name is XXXX, I like to Dance!" kids' clothing - are those items for sale as well?! If so, my little Munchkin is totally getting a Foofa pinafore next time she's in need of a dress. So CUTE! So is Tinker!

  15. And P.S. I love what you've done with the photos, I need to learn how to do pretty things like that

  16. well, we hesitate to give an opinion only because, sadly, we live in a really weird world.

however, the baby's face is covered (in a VERY cute way) so maybe. but, we leave the choice to you.

otoh, kids are modeling all over the media, so waz da paranoia?

now, on to the pix: they are adorable! kudos to you! :-)

the outfit is right on point. luvitt! we didn't have these cute outfits when my girls where, well, uhm, girls. or, maybe we just shopped in the wrong places. anyhoo, so far we'd say is a go. :-)

  17. Forget the outfits (no, not really), I'm just tuning in for the variety of Jackson-esque style coverings that you're going to have to come up with!!

Can I insist that 'Tinker' just be Tinker forever to us please? A little while ago I found out the "real" name of a toddler who was also known by a blog ID and though the "real" name was lovely I just can't make it work. Tinker Forever (heart)

  20. Definitely a good idea. I started to do this with Oliver but soon gave up. His wardrobe is nowhere near as good as Miss T's. Look forward to seeing more outfits. This one is gorgeous.

  21. I wouldn't do it just because I wouldn't want possible internet creepers seeing pictures of my kid too often.

  22. LOVE the idea. Laughed my head off when you said you wouldn't want to feature yourself, cause I'm exactly the same! Not much stylista stuff happening on the bod of this stay-at-home writer... Oh, I do have pretty Japanese socks, though.

  25. Cute! But do keep her face out of view I think. You never know...and there must be a good reason why celebs cover the faces of their children...plus you do know that you are sort of a cyber celeb in your own right. At the end of the day, we act with wisdom andpray for continued Divine protection.

I lurve the pose too! unadulterated cute-ness!

  26. Love the idea; gives inspiration for my lil one's outfits :) I adore her outfit!

  27. Oh high five to keeping her face out of view. And yep, would love Tinker fashion shows.
How do you get her to keep the hat on btw? E outright refuses any sort of headwear!

  28. Very cute ! The little one in my house is jealous of her top :-) I love her little pose too.
