I like trees, but not this much!

A follow on from my post about needing a modern hat stand for my handbags. Vanessa came up with this cute tree, it seemed perfect really. So I phoned this morning.

Unfortunately it is $437 +GST. Poo! I need more IKEA pricing if I want to convince my husband that we need a giant fake tree to house my bags. Back to the hunt.

  6. Hi!

Its nice to see a fellow lady lawyer who blogs as well. Your leap from "Ally McBeal" to housewife seems such a big one and I guess its kinda hard to combine both. I was just wondering, do you miss your life as a litigator? I get to both practice law and be a mother of a three year old girl and sometimes, I say, one thing is gotta give. But having a nanny around here where its not as expensive such as in your country helps a lot. Anyway, good luck in your life choices, I just might make it sometime in the far future.

  12. Hi,

Love the tree stands, shame they are expensive as a red and a black one would look great together.

    Love,

  15. See now you have all said how nice the trees are and now you know I'm going to just have to save my pennies for one! You were all supposed to say how horrible they were and that I should totally not buy one.

Woodles I like that one and the little baby version is so sweet. I do think it might be tricky with a few bags though. Probably better for coats? Not that we really need coat stands in Sydney. Not often we wear them.

Waray welcome to you! I will check out your blog tonight. I must learn where waray is, I'm embarrassed my geography is so bad. I know it is in The Philippines but I have no idea where exactly. I will look it up once I've had some dinner tonight. And no, the answer is I don't actually miss my work at all. I loved being a lawyer but I love being a full time mummy more. I had always wanted to be a criminal defence lawyer and that's exactly what I was, so I got to have my dream job and I enjoyed it but I really enjoy this just as much. In different ways... I should write a post about it really.

  16. Those trees? For that sort of money, they'd have to dance and sing in order to be worth that investment!

Congrats on being sited as a Blog of Note. Nice when acts of love are recognized, isn't it?

  17. I tried to leave a comment earlier but blast it all it just wouldn't work. Here's hoping this one will post.
Congrats on being a Blog of Note. I'm enjoying your musings very much.
I wanted to share an idea I saw in a magazine for your handbags. The used a series of pegs on a large blank wall and hung a handbag collection on them. It looked like an art gallery installation. I have one very cute bag I never us because it looks so nice hanging on the knob of my closet door!

  18. Hey, Vanessa, that's me! Can you tell that I don't get around to reading your blog (or any others) too often.
Glad you liked them, although sorry, didn't know they were so expensive! You'll have to do what I do - get various piggy banks and start hoarding loose change until you can afford the stuff you want. Works for me, I just got the PVR I wanted!
