Tinker and I have a playdate filled day today so I'm just going to post a Fast Friday Funny for you all rather quickly.
Check this out: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1170348/The-50-year-old-mother-spent-10-000-surgery-look-like-daughter.html#
Now lets just look past the bad shoes, and scary blonde extensions that look like a pair of cheap barbie wigs. What on earth is going on here? Clearly the mother has a case of Gerontophobia- fear of growing old but heck she has some other crazy issues too. Oh so so wrong.
HOw shocking, imagine having your mum turn around and say "you know what darling you are so much better looking than I am. I think I'm going to spend my life savings on plastic surgery so I can look JUST LIKE YOU."
Noooooo. This is just all kinds of wrong and I don't have anything to say, I'm just going to have a little vomit in my mouth and move on with my day.

Noooooo! As you say that is all kinds of wrong!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I had to read the caption to work out which was mother and which was daughter.
They have the same hair, and similar figures, but mirror images? I don't see it. Their faces are really different and to be honest, the daughter (and her makeup) creeps me out more than the Mom. Not that the Mom is any kind of normal. Here's my favorite quote: 'I thought if I was going to pay £2,500 I might as well go bigger'.
ReplyDeleteHowdy from Texas. (By the way, we don't really say that.) Glad I tripped across your site. You are very amusing and I enjoyed browsing your page. Please check out mine for a look at life across the pond!
ReplyDeleteRight-that is just wrong. I actually had to read to work out which was which! Some people have nothing better to do with their time I think. But how awful for the poor daughter.
ReplyDeleteOh Carolyn I thought of you today when I was at a baby shop and saw a pink poodle harness pack thing you mentioned in a past post. I could imagine your little T wearing it. Very sweet.
Bettina
What a delightful blog! I'm so glad you were chosen for blogs of note! Congrats! I'll come back often. :)
ReplyDeleteVery Cute
ReplyDeleteCarolyn! I haven't spoken to you in ages! I will be seeing you at Kahlee's though! Loving your blog! Merrill xxx
ReplyDeletethats....not....creepy.
ReplyDeleteha! wow. Its almost like one of those images you cant stop looking at.
"what the...EUGH!....hmmm...no no no...wait...NO!...er...what...ugh. ok. ok OK." *click*
Xk
What an article! I would hate for my mum to try and act my age [i turn 22 in a couple of months]. I agree with you Noelle, the daughters make-up, no idea what was with that! Loved your blog =]
ReplyDeleteOK, the kitty picture was really cute. So glad I found your blog. It is a way for me to visit Australia!

I know!! I saw this article as well and it had me staring at the computer screen for soo long. It is so wrong. And crazy. And confusing. I feel soooo sorry for the daughter.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Noelle they have the same "look" a la Barbie but their faces are not the same, the features are so different. Oh it is just so odd. Imagine sending the mother to a therapist, gosh it would be a lengthy session. Bettina I saw those poodles, so cute huh? A little like a pink lamb! The Tinker has a Panda one. I gave up on the cat and got the panda and she loves it.
ReplyDeleteHaha omg u have a lolcat, I luv em. u see I myself is a cat fan. So no suprise there, hehe.
ReplyDeleteand omigosh yeah, that would be pretty scary if your mum turned out to be like that.
It's very much a treat to visit your blog and I can well see why it it a Blog of Note.
ReplyDeleteCreepy story about that mother, most definitely!
I see that you have two little bearded dogs. I have two large dogs and quite a few cats, one who actually is a bearded cat, and another who has been known to barf like the little guy in this photo. :)
that's just scary!!! but yeah, admittedly i couldnt tell which was the older at first...!
ReplyDeleteDitto on BARFING! I'm really nauseous.
ReplyDeletejust too weird for me.
ReplyDeleteCheck the necks and hands. My mom actually looks better than me!
Poor poor little kitty.
I love your blog! I'm so glad you were picked as a blog of note. I've just become a "house girlfriend" in between undergraduate and graduate school. I'll be checking in often for tips and tricks of the trade. :)
ReplyDeleteThe poor girl, it must be very embarassing for her. And I couldn't even work out who the mother was! I would be horrified if my mum turned around and said she wanted to look like me!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I love your blog! It's such a delight to read!
Cute post! Thanks for the laughter and have a wonderful day! xo~
ReplyDeleteYour writing is really endearing. You can be humorous without being overwhelming. Even though I'n not a "Family Guy," I find your blog really endearing.
