What is a yummy mummy?

Is it this freak below?

Or this one here?

No. I think a yummy mummy is one that actually eats cake! So if you are like me and you actually bake cakes for your kids and then actually God forbid... eat the yummy cakes afterwards then you might like this cute necklace here:

I found it on Etsy this morning, you can buy it for $65US from a seller called sudlow. I think it might be a really fun Mothers Day gift *hint hint* husband hello?

  1. urgh, i fail to see what is so yummy about VB. She is as skinny as a spaghetti stick, and looks to be the same colour as one too!

  3. The necklace reminds me too much of Marie Antionette (sp?). Without the "let them eat cake" it would be quite cute.

Best gift us older ladies can get or give is to spend time with our mothers or have our children spend time with us.

For those whose mothers have passed - God Bless you, remember her with love.

  4. I know what you mean. But we have a few yummy mummys here in India who don't look anorexic.

I luuuvvvvvvveee baking! I just recently declared "Let them eat cake" Marie Antoinette style, when after taking elaborate pains to bake a few cakes, my friend asked me "what's for dinner?" :D

  8. Okay, even just the first line of this post had me laughing out loud. Your blog is excellent, very witty. (And I'm with you, people who skank out their kids are bound for purgatory...)

  9. This post reminds me of how I tried to wear heels on Saturday and found it impossible to be 'me' with the kids. Hmmm...inspird me to write a post about this experience as I feel like I have a lot to say...!

  10. Where are her stretchmarks? Do they airbrush that out too?

  11. If we all had the perks and access-passes of celebrities we could definitely look like that, but real people come in all shapes and sizes!!
I like your blog, very clever!

  12. Yummy mummy - certainly not one who is scared to eat! I think the biggest worry with Mrs Beckham is that she might be transferring her eating habits to her three gorgeous boys. Having 4 sons I know what a healthy appetite happy and busy boys have and with two of mine being very plain eaters (no sauces or 'bits'!) then I know they didn't need any more ideas on scarey food :O)

    Great blog by the way!!

  13. Can I just be yummy and eat cake?

I hope the proceeds from the pendant are going to a good cause, since it is using one of the big symbols for (government approved) poverty.

I know. It's annoying when someone makes a discussion of cool jewelry into a political thing.

  14. There's something about that woman that makes me want to barf whenever I see her in magazines. Her hubby on the other hand now that is a different story...he's definitely a yummy daddy!!! Gufffaw! The necklace is cute, couldn't see my own yummy mummy (she's still yummy at her age! I wont reveal her age.) wearing it. x

  15. Haha!! Totally agree that a yummy mummy does it cake. Obviously, Victoria is supposed to be a skinny mummy and Christina is supposed to be a sexy mummy. But yummy mummy definitely beats both

  17. What ia wrong with VB's skin they forgot to tan her face. The fake tan looks way to dark. i serioulsy thought she had a tan boots for a litlle while there.

  18. What a cute necklace! Man it disgusts me whenever I see a commercialized pregnant belly like that. I just KNOW her skin isn't THAT smooth, hairless, and flawless on her belly. No pregnant belly LOOKS like that! Grrr.

  24. Kaleen Ramos, just because Xtina was pregnant, it didn't mean she was going to have stretchmarks also. When my cousin was pregnant, she moisturized her tummy twice a day and she never got any stretchmarks.

And Posh looks old enough to be her son's grandma. She's just some stick insect in designer clothes. Also, she doesn't even look good in the clothes she wears.

This post is fantastic! Exactly what I needed for a little cheer-me-up!

  25. Oh, that's so cute! Mmmm...cake!

I can't be the only person who hates the term "Yummy Mummy" though??? Seriously, I cringe :)

  26. You know I seriously wonder how Victoria B ever managed to get pregnant in the first place? I hate the term "Yummy Mummy" too Rachel lol I guess that says plenty about me... I would prefer "too good to be true Mummy" or "mine's better than yours Mummy" or "Super Fantastic Mega Amazing Mummy" but who am I kidding?
    :o)
