We had a wonderful day yesterday, we drove down to Bowral for a lovely lunch with friends. We were a little nervous about 11 little children in an art gallery cafe but our children survived without annoying too many other patrons and all the mummies and daddies had a lovely time as well.
This is where we went:
Now since we are chatting about art galleries I think it is fitting to ...
announce another gorgeous giveaway!
I am very pleased to announce that the very stylish Viv from Ish & Chi has generously donated this stunning artwork from her beautiful etsy store:

Viv, like Heather from last weeks gorgeous Monday giveaway is another supermum. She creates really beautiful things. This butterfly artwork was made with Amy Butler Lotus Wall Flower fabric in Cherry. To win, all you need to do is check out her blog and her etsy store and let me know what tickles your fancy, maybe a great post on her blog or something pretty in her store. Easy!
Since the Tinker did such a lovely little job last week picking the winner from her hat, I think we will do it that way on Friday unless anyone suggests another fun way for her to announce the winner.
Oh and don't worry, winning does not mean you need to donate something special for a giveaway. I don't want anyone thinking they need to raid their husband's good tie drawer or anything. It was purely a coincidence that Viv won last week!
Oh boy! So excited to be the first entrant in this giveaway and I am hoping for another coincidence to occur :)
ReplyDeleteViv's store is wonderful! Love all the color and energy...I have to say that the butterfly she is giving away is my favorite but it was a hard choice. That peony rose in red is a close second. I follow her blog as well; what a creative lady!
Thanks for doing another giveaway, Carolyn.
Wow - what a gorgeous print - and what a gorgeous blog too! Enjoying reading through all the old posts now!
ReplyDeleteAs always the entire ESTY store was wonderful, to be able to create things in such vibrant colors, oh to see the dreams Viv has. I adore the butterfly it would look so cute in my little Mazie's room.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite item would have to be the Twenty Hearts (Heather Bailey fabric.) I love how it is both very elegant and clean/crisp. I feel like having something like that on my wall would force me to keep the rest of the apartment in order. Very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love this one: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=25604989

xoxo
I love the Retro Sunshine, with winter here make me think of warmth...
ReplyDeleteOh dear - another blog to swoon over! Like I needed that ;-)
ReplyDeleteSo far I've toured the nursery, bedroom, kitchen, living and balcony, and read the review on go go merino bags. Already a fan of the go go bag, I know have another house to serve as inspiration. Delicious, delightful, delovely!
I love Viv's blog! Her recent living/dining room renovation is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIn her Etsy store I love the iPod print! It's of the very first iPod I ever owned!
Viv is amazing and the love she puts into her art shines through. Her store has something in it for everyone - go and look if you haven't already! I recently bought the circus print for a friend and am eyeing of this beautiful butterfly for another friend.
ReplyDeleteThere's one word that perfectly describes the darling Viv and everything about her - beautiful. Everything that she creates, from her home renovations to artworks on Etsy, encapsulates her spirit - bright and unique but with classic, clean lines. I actually want to buy this gorgeous butterfly to put in the wooden white frame I recently acquired!
ReplyDeleteI have been fortunate enough to meet the lovely Viv and there is one word to truly sum her up: exquisite.
ReplyDeleteEverything in her etsy store is so unique, classy and polished and her blog is my number one must read (I especially love her "Fashion Friday's" and wish she did them every week).
I'd love to win this stunning print, but if not, Viv has secured herself a sale <3

Love Love Love Ish and Chi Blog, and absolutley am head over heals in love with the red peony flower!
ReplyDeleteI love the print, there is something freeing about butterflies! Thank you for leading me to her etsy store! As for a favorite design ... I have to go with her nursery... the wall paper, elephant sheets and the Circus Print area all so unique, creative and wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI love Viv's stuff. Right now l would have to say that I love Clouds and the Circus print.
ReplyDeleteI still love her baby nursery.
Oh and that apron she won is so darling.
This is probably written too late since it's technically Tuesday (3:35am!) but I'm not going to miss a chance to write about Viv regardless. ;)
ReplyDeleteThis work is my favourite thing in Viv's entire store, it is so lovely and delicate. The silhouette allows the Amy Butler fabric to be both the centrepiece and the backdrop to the curves of the butterfly.
Viv's creativity and taste are amazing and I can only imagine what she'd do if given unlimited resources. I hope to rekindle the same passion for creating things in myself one day, it is gone for the moment for reasons unrelated to art and beauty themselves, so seeing her set up her store and blog from scratch and produce such gorgeous things is very inspirational and motivational to someone like me who loved to create.
I am so happy to see Viv's piece featured as a giveaway on another lovely blog, this is awesome. :D
I have found a new obsession! I just love all the prints. The peony print is to die for. Love it!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love both butterfly prints! I would love to have such talent!
ReplyDeleteI love 'Butterfly' and 'Peony Rose,' but 'Clouds' is simply divine!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love vibrant colors like these pieces have. I'd have to choose the 20 hearts piece, but I really love the peony series, too.
ReplyDeletePick me! Viv's shop is fabulous! I would be honored
ReplyDeleteooh I love the post about her kitchen wallpaper cabinet, just gorgeous.

I love being a part of Viv's 'life', her creative life, and she is just that isn't she. So creative and colourful and warm, her personality shines through on all her products. That butterfly just looks like it wants to land on a bunch of paeonies. Hopefully mine in the spring.
ReplyDeleteDi xx
Love Viv's style full stop. Love the pretty, yet no fuss approach to her decorating. Yum!! Tinker pick my number from your hat my lovely!!!

ReplyDeleteViv's etsy shop is wonderful! i love her amy butler fabric butterflys - so delightful and would look striking on the wall!!
ReplyDeleteI follow her blog on google reader! I love the store but I like the blog even more, the way she came up with her blog name and the fact that she always blogs what i seem to be thinking (or is that a bit creepy?)
ReplyDeleteI ended up here from the ish and chi blog after finding her etsy store! My favorite is actually the piece you have offered in this giveaway. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteI follow Viv's blog every day and found you through her! Her home is so beautifule, she has such a wonderful style and her artwork is beautiful it is hard to pick a favorite, but like Jackie above, my #1 would have to be one for this give away!
ReplyDeleteWOW i love everything about her blog, makes me want to hurry up and finish the renovations on our house I also love her style of photography, elegant & fresh. I find her before and after shots of her house very inspiring.
ReplyDeleteI love the butterflys, so pretty, and Im not normally a butterfly kind of girl! Oh and the trio of prints looks beautiful too.
ReplyDeleteI adore the Circus Carousel (Archival Print)! So so cute!
ReplyDeleteAn incurable Amy Butler fan, and a mixed media artist myself (like Ish & Chi) and am instantly drawn to graphic art that include nice patterns & colour. This red one is particularly lovely!
ReplyDeleteI fell in love with the red butterfly before it allured me to flutter across to your blog.. and I must say having now seen two lovely sites in the span of minutes I feel like I am flying from flower to flower in a gorgeous blog meadow!
Both yours and Ish & Chi's blog are lovely and I look forward to following them from here on.
I too was once a full-gear-professional, now low-gear-professional-mother - also here in Sydney.
Good luck with the give-away and with those alphabetically arranged herbs!
